Hints and reminders for the "bride-to-be".

Brides should understand the difference between everyday makeup and the type of application that will enhance their beauty in wedding photos. For brides, the choice is simple -- learn the proper techniques from a makeup artist months before the wedding, or simply invest in a professional application on the day of the event.

Flawless skin can really be yours with the right foundation.  Custom blended foundation is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary.

Wedding day makeup should be classic, not trendy.  Keep your eyes, lips and cheeks simple.  Avoid shimmer.

Be sure to keep pressed powder handy for touch up; you don't want a shiny nose or forehead in your pictures!

Do not have a facial before your wedding day. If a breakout results, it will be difficult to cover up.
To increase the life of your lipstick, try a lip liner: outline your lips, then, with short strokes, completely color your mouth as you would with lipstick. Finish with your lipstick on top.

"You must put tissue in your invitations."

"Your mother can't escort you down the aisle."

"The groom has male attendants, and the
bride must have female attendants."

Brides should do a trial makeup application a few months ahead of time -- and snap some pictures! You want to be sure that the makeup will enhance your beauty in the wedding photos.  Join our brides as they each prepare for their special day...

Avoid major color changes , says Gustavo.  If you're getting married, allow a good three to four months to make a color change  highlighted hair can look dated.
